The Town of Machu Picchu is connected to the city of Cusco (the world is navel) by a railway system that joins both tourist resorts. The trip takes three hours approximately, through paradise-like landscapes, covering a distance of 110 kilometers, with daily frequencies and numerous options regarding timetables, categories and fare.Machu Picchu Historic Sanctuary is strategically situated at the top of the Machu Picchu Mountain, at 2,350 meters above sea level (7,710 ft) in Vilcabamba Mountain Range is western slope.

The Vilcabamba Mountain Range is bordered by the Apurimac and Urubamba Rivers. The Historic Sanctuary is specifically located in the Valley of the Urubamba River (Also known as Vilcanota) at the lower part of the Holy Valley of the Incas, where you can access the high forest.

  • TOUR ITINERARY

    DAY 01: CUSCO/ MACHUPICCHU TOWN

    We start with an early transfer from your hotel to the Cusco train station to take a train with direction to Machupcchu or Aguas Calientes town. The journey by train takes from 3 to 4 hours passing through the Sacred Valley of the Incas and picturesque landscapes. On arrival to Aguas Calientes town we take a short bus trip to Machu Picchu citadel for around 20 minutes. Once there you will enloy a guided tour for two hours where you will explore the most important and interesting places. On afternoon we take again a train back from Aguas Calientes town to Cusco city
